Many people use a lot of anti-aging products, such as wrinkle filler, sunscreen, eye gel, eye cream, face oil, moisturizer, serum, toner, face wash, and makeup remover, to take care of their skin. What they don’t know is that the many beauty products used, the higher the risk of developing wrinkles, especially if they are not correctly applied.

4. Assuming Organic Products Are Better
Organic is better and healthier when it comes to food. But, beauty products that are labeled “organic” do not always ensure they don’t promote premature aging signs or are safe. A British study showed that famous natural ingredients, such as jasmine, lavender, feverfew, and tea tree oil, can cause allergic reactions, especially to people with sensitive skin. It’s still best to check the labels for toxic ingredients, such as parabens, mercury, lead, dioxane, and phthalates, and watch out for natural ingredients that may cause you allergies.
5. Aggressively Removing Eye Makeup
Removing your eye makeup aggressively and pulling the skin around your eyes causes wrinkles. You should not tug or rub your eye area as it can cause bags under the eyes and broken blood vessels. Instead, remove your makeup gently at night even if it takes you awhile time to completely remove it.
6. Sleeping on Your Side or Stomach
If you thought that sleeping on your side or stomach does not affect your skin, think again. Sometimes, what causes wrinkles and other aging signs is not dirt or other pollutants; it’s an unhealthy lifestyle.
10. Sitting Too Close to the Computer Screen
Sitting too close to your computer screen does not only strain your eyes or cause damage to your eyes but also causes wrinkles and fine lines because of UV radiation. If your work requires long hours of sitting in front of a computer, try staying at a distance of at least 1 ½ to 2 feet away from the screen. You can also maintain a position that keeps your neck straight to decrease horizontal necklines. One more important thing is to take breaks from your work, say two to three times in an hour, to stretch and re-adjust your posture.
